Today I’m officially on holidays and will be travelling for the next 2 weeks through Belgium, Netherlands, UK, and Germany! So this may or may not be the last post for a few weeks depending on my internet access, but I think all you faithful readers will understand. I’ll be back with whole lot of things that rocked my world from while I was away! Holidays are relaxingly…

After my marathon and still being in somewhat world of pain I just spent all day yesterday chillin’ on the couch watching the World Cup only getting up to go to the bathroom, eat or go to back to bed! Even though I’m sore my couch is very comfortably…

Yesterday I ran my first ever Marathon, the full 42.195km, and my house mate run the half marathon, we had been training together for a few months now! I was super excited in the lead up to it, and even though I’m in a world of pain right now, all the pain is totally worth it! Having the t-shirt, medal and certificate that all say finisher is pretty cool, but the sense of accomplishment,  knowledge that I actually did it is worth so much more. I was aiming for a time of 4 hours and came across the line at 4:08:22 so I’m absolutely stoked! Special thanks need to go to Josh Welsh, who believed in me over a year ago when I was 20 kg heavier and I said I wanted to run a marathon, and a lot of people laughed, he went out and bought me running shoes and on many of my training runs I would look down at my shoes and think about him believing in me! Then you take a semi cold shower cool down your body and then come back in the living room to keep watching TV and have not dried yourself completely so you still have the clean water on your skin and dripping wet hair. Feeling totally refreshed and continue enjoying the super weather, it’s…

The World Cup starts today with the host nation South Africa playing Against Mexico, while in reality I really don’t care so much who wins that game, I’m actually going to cheer for Mexico, just because of one of my best friends ‘Edo’ is Mexican. But the World cup is not just about the first game it’s about the whole month of football excitement that grips the world (especially teams that are in the competition), Cars honking horn in the street when their team wins, flags and banners everywhere, sign writing on shop windows, all of it is absolutely epic!. Its wonderful being in a Germany where they are football crazy and I’m super excited for Australia vs Germany this Sunday, and seriously believe that Australia can win! So for the next month until the Holy Grail of Football is handed on to the next Champion the World Cup in South Africa is…

When the weather gets better and the sun is shining and its coming into summer everybody gets out their BBQ’s and is ready to cook some meat, and for the next 4 months every party you go too is outside with a BBQ and as a massive carnivore and I LOVE IT! BBQ’s are one of the best things about summer, just chillin’ out with mates, and it seems that life is all sweet. In the past 2 weeks I have been to 4 BBQ’s and I have another tomorrow, and I say keep ’em coming because they are…
